Merdeka Month Camp 2018 - "Sayangi Malaysiaku"
In conjunction with Malaysia's independence month 2018, the Vale Eco Centre (VEC) held its "Merdeka Month Camp" on Sunday 11th August 2018 with a total of 73 participants from 12 campuses University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) throughout Malaysia, volunteers, as well as local communities. The theme of this year's independence is "Sayangi Malaysiaku", the VEC has highlighted environmental issues, so a short talk on environmental freedom in Malaysia has been presented. Next, in order to brighten up the spirit of nature's love as well as celebrating the national day, they have been brought to explore nature in the VEC forest and to raise the Malaysian flag on the hill. Additionally, the posters 'creator of "Sayangi Malaysiaku" concept and nature have been conducted to see participants' creativity as well as to appreciate the meaning of independence and to create awareness of the importance of the environment.
