KAMPUNGKU PROJECT FOR 2018

17-18th August 2018, Kuala Tahan, Pahang, MALAYSIA.

Organised by: Ecotourism & Conservation Society Malaysia (ECOMY) and supported by Lewis & Clark College, Portland, Veritas Design Group & Haskell Malaysia. Bird Group Taman Negara will act as Ground Monitoring Team (set up & quarterly monitoring)

Objective: To engage and assist with the orang asli community (Bateq/Batik tribe) of Kampung Aur. They live mainly off the grid, along the Tembeling River which is the boundary of Taman Negara (National Park). The nearest town is Kuala Tahan. Access to Kampung Aur will be an hour-long boat ride to the Kampung Aur. Our Base Camp will be at Tembeling Riverview Motel (simple-twin share rooms).
